Enable your cloud resources to privately communicate with each other
Akamai’s Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) is now in open beta. VPCs are available in a majority of our core compute regions, and you can access them through our API and Cloud Manager, as well as Python, Go, Packer, Ansible, and Terraform. Also, read our latest Akamai Developer updates and watch our “State of Cloud: 2024” webinar featuring Dolo Miah, CTO of Linebreak, and Mike Kasprzak, co-founder of Ludum Dare.
Featured Guides
This reference architecture provides an example of how to create a scalable, portable, and cost-effective media processing workflow on Akamai Cloud Computing using a traditional Video On-Demand (VOD) model.
Our Metadata service offers an API for automated deployment configurations, which compatible versions of cloud-init can leverage to configure newly deployed Compute instances automatically. However, the Metadata service’s API can also be accessed directly, providing access to both instance and user data.
Updates
With our VPC, your private network can support multiple subnets, and since our design does not have a top-level CIDR, you can have multiple subnet RFC1918 ranges within the VPC.
Join Jay Jenkins, Akamai’s Cloud Computing CTO, and two of our customers, Dolo Miah, CTO of Linebreak, and Ludum Dare’s Co-Founder Mike Kasprzak, as they discuss the continuum of cloud models from centralized to distributed to edge computing.
